Family Photo Displays as Wall Art

I love the look of a wall crammed with framed family photos. We have a couple walls like this in our house and I just decided I’m going to do the same thing in our hum drum staircase. It makes sense considering that my husband loves taking photos!

It looks like I’m not alone with loving the look of framed family photos covering a wall. Here are a few photos for inspiration…

(The above photo is from Christina Hutson’s home, THE GLOW.) I love how random they look.

I keep going back to these photos from Lonny. The photos are mixed with kid’s artwork and grown up artwork. This is exactly what I want to do in our staircase.

Some of these photos aren’t even framed and it looks eclectic and fabulous. (Design Sponge)

These large photos look like artwork in this modern dining room. I like how Emily mixed black and white with color photos. (Emily Henderson)

Yup, this is what I’m going for, except our hallway is tiny! (Traditional Home July/Aug 2011)

See, tiny! This is the wall that separates our kitchen and dining room.

I bought a bunch of frames from Michael’s yesterday, so this weekend I’m getting started on our stairs. Stay tuned…
